Since our founding in 1899, helping communities provide safe drinking water has been an important part of what we do.  Robert Spurr Weston and George Sampson were pioneers in the field of drinking water engineering. The partnership achieved a number of “firsts” in water treatment, including one of the first rapid sand filtration plants in the United States. Today, our engineers, scientists, and operators plan, design, and construct facilities to meet complex regulations with cost-effective, sustainable, and innovative solutions in the areas of:

  • Distribution and transmission mains, pumping stations, treatment facilities, and storage tanks
  • Surface water and groundwater resource evaluation, modelling, mapping, and development
  • Water management, source protection, and master planning
  • Emergency response planning
  • Asset management and capital improvement plans
