On Saturday, our team of six volunteers will fly from the U.S. to Jinotega, Nicaragua to participate in the Bridges to Prosperity build of the San Vicente Footbridge project. Folks in the community of San Vicente are busy making final preparations at the site so we can begin building when we arrive. We are excited to meet them, as well as another volunteer team from FHECOR, and get started on the bridge!
We have been informed that the rainy season has begun. We will see first-hand just how important it will be to have a safe means of crossing the river. Currently an oxen and cart are on site helping the community transport materials ahead of our arrival. Safe travels to all!
