Charleston County Transportation Committee Roadway Projects
As a subconsultant, our firm provided Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and location services for the Charleston County Transportation Committee. These Charleston County SUE roadway projects consisted of converting existing dirt roads into paved streets, as well as constructing entirely new sections of roadway. All projects utilized existing roadway. Record research was vital to the success.
- Julius Robertson Road - Charleston County: Provided roadway research as well as survey information for approximately 840 linear feet of roadway design information.
- Lincolnville Charleston County: Provided aerial mapping, roadway research, and survey information for several roads in the town of Lincolnville.
- Otranto Road - Charleston County: Provided roadway research, utility information, and mapping / survey information for the installation of approximately 1500 linear feet of sidewalk.
- Trexler Avenue - Town of Hollywood: Provided field surveys to determine accurate elevations and locations of existing facilities (e.g., roadways, bridges, culverts, utilities, and railroads) as needed for design and to provide ground controls for base mapping and all design surveys. The project included the upgrade of the existing unpaved road to include two lanes of travel along with all associated utility and drainage improvements.
