Weston & Sampson’s Jeff McClure recently presented to the Hampstead, New Hampshire Board of Selectmen in support of the Hampstead Area Water Company (HAWC). Jeff explained why the HAWC changed its water disinfection process from using chlorine to chloramines, explaining that, “We want to make sure when the water is mixed there isn’t water quality and aesthetic issues that can form.” Other cities and towns that are part of the Southern New Hampshire Regional Water Pipeline use chloramines, so HAWC is switching to the disinfectant to be more compatible.
