Massachusetts MVP Communities 2020
Weston & Sampson is extremely pleased to congratulate all of the Massachusetts communities that received funding under the Commonwealth’s Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program. This program is critical to advancing climate resilience across the state and we are thankful to be a part of 10 successful applications this year. We look forward to working with each community to implement their strategic and innovative ideas to advance climate resilience at the local level. The projects awarded in this round address issues many communities are dealing with, including mitigating the urban heat island effect, redesigning a commercial corridor at risk of flooding, installing green infrastructure in environmental justice neighborhoods, upgrading coastal roads to reduce the impacts of sea level rise, and more.
