Curtis Apartments Redevelopment

Weston & Sampson is providing consulting services for the redevelopment of an existing Worcester Housing Authority residential neighborhood (Curtis Apartments) in Worcester, Massachusetts.

The project proposes to demolish existing multi-unit residential buildings and construct new buildings in phases. The 500+-unit community will be redeveloped in four (4) phases that will have to carefully consider temporary displacement of residents; infrastructure improvements; continued service to existing residences; traffic mitigation; and potential hazardous material disposal.

Weston & Sampson is currently engaged to provide civil engineering, landscape architecture, traffic engineering, and permitting services to assist with the project through design, permitting, and construction. Located in a densely settled residential neighborhood, the design and phasing of the redevelopment needs to comply with multiple stakeholder interests and site restrictions.
