PFAS – The Forever Chemical

Frank Ricciardi, PE, LSP, Vice President and Discipline Leader at Weston & Sampson, and Steven LaRosa, Technical Lead at Weston & Sampson, will co-chair and moderate the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) Annual Emerging Contaminants Seminar: PFAS – The Forever Chemical virtual meeting on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Elizabeth Denly, PFAS Group Program Director at TRC, will also co-chair.  

The morning program will focus on source identification for PFAS, including a comprehensive look at the history and different uses of PFAS and some new PFAS forensics tools. There will also be an update on aqueous film forming foams (AFFF) and discussion of the issues associated with PFAS during due diligence and Phase 1 site assessments. 

George Naslas, Practice Leader at Weston & Sampson, will present "Who, What and Where – Regulatory Overview Across the U.S." during the afternoon session, which will also include updates on PFAS toxicity and a panel of state regulators who will provide updates on PFAS in their states and answer questions from the audience.
