Indrani Ghosh, Ph.D., Resiliency Technical Leader at Weston & Sampson, was invited to present as part of the “Building One Waterfront” speaker series hosted by The Trustees of Reservations on December 9, 2020. The goal of the series is to contribute to the conversation concerning the future of the City of Boston’s parks that serve as world-class destinations, support diverse community needs and accessibility, and bring value to Boston’s climate resiliency goals. Indrani’s presentation, titled “Designing Waterfronts for Regional Resiliency,” covered how climate resilience design standards are being implemented in the design and construction of waterfront parks in Boston and how these parks are serving as regional interventions to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Moderated by Gretchen (Schneider) Rabinkin, Executive Director of the Boston Society of Landscape Architects, Indrani’s co-presenters were Michael Grove, FASLA, Principal with Sasaki, and Kotchakorn Voraakhom, CEO and Founder of Landprocess and the Porous City Network.
