Drinking Water Sampling for PFOA Contamination

Weston & Sampson has been contracted by the State of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VTDEC) to provide drinking water sampling and analyses at over 200 residential locations in North Bennington and Bennington, Vermont. The sampling is being performed due to the presence of PFOA (perflourooctanonic acid) found in several drinking water wells nearby a defunct manufacturing plant. PFOA is a chemical used in Teflon and many other performance coatings. Weston & Sampson has been accompanying VTDEC personnel in the collection and management of sample results. We are back in North Bennington to collect additional samples in an expanded investigation area based on the inital data collected.
