Groundwater Supply Development in New Hampshire

Groundwater Supply Development in New Hampshire

On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, hydrogeologists from Weston & Sampson served as co-instructors for a webinar training class, in association with the Granite State Rural Water Association (GSRWA) and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES).

Frank Getchell and Kevin MacKinnon from Weston & Sampson’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire office, along with Stephen Roy of the NHDES, were the instructors for the GSRWA’s webinar entitled “Groundwater Supply Development in New Hampshire.” The attendees included managers of municipal and private drinking water supply systems from all over the state who learned about finding, developing, and permitting groundwater supplies in New Hampshire, along with well construction and rehabilitation techniques. The effects of climate change are expected to impact, among countless other things, the withdrawal potential and quality of drinking water supplies. The information contained in this webinar is critical to helping ensure that the state’s residents and businesses have the water they need. The webinar will be available for a short period of time on the GSRWA’s Zoom page. For more information, please contact Frank at getchell.frank@wseinc.com or Kevin at mackinnk@wseinc.com.
