Aquatics Center at Chelsea Piers
Aquatics Group provided full design services for the aquatics center at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, one of Connecticut’s largest indoor water play areas. The center includes a 50-meter, Olympic-sized pool, a warm water instructional and exercise pool, and a 6,000 square-foot water play pool, including three giant slides, zero-depth entry area, and mini water slides. In addition to designing all aspects of the pools, slides, and play features, we directed HVAC, engineering, and electrical engineering services and provided the layout of the facilities. During the construction phase, our team provided construction management, including bidding, purchasing, and permitting. Since 2011, Weston & Sampson CMR has provided maintenance, operation, training, and repair services. We have also conducted monthly inspections and doing preventative maintenance for these facilities.
