Barbara Cook, PE, President and Chief Operating Officer, Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc.

Weston & Sampson, an interdisciplinary engineering, consulting, construction, operations and maintenance firm with more than 575 employees, is celebrating new leadership. Effective January 2019, Barbara Cook, PE is President and Chief Operating Officer of Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. In the firm’s 120-year history, this is only the 7th transition in the role of President. Past President, Michael Scipione, PE, will remain in the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Barbara has been with Weston & Sampson since 1983 and guided the success of the firm’s Water Practice. In 2016, she was promoted to Chief Operating Officer. In her new role as President, Barbara will continue to support an accessible and hands-on approach to projects while fostering Weston & Sampson’s tradition of prompt client service. Barbara is active in numerous national and regional professional organizations, including NEWWA, where she is currently the President-Elect.

Michael has served as the firm’s CEO since 2005. He will continue to promote Weston & Sampson’s commitment to providing viable infrastructure improvements to clients while sustaining the natural environment.
