Dulles International Airport - East Baggage Basement
Dulles International Airport - East Baggage Basement
Our firm provided Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and topographic services for the future expansion of the Dulles International Airport's East Baggage Building. Utility locating included SUE Level B, using geophysical sensing equipment to mark and survey the location of all non-gravity utility lines (including appurtenances). It also included collecting data on the location and depth of all gravity storm drain and sanitary sewer structures. Survey of structures included directly accessing communications and electric utility vaults (permitted confined space work) for sketch and photo details. Site survey included boring layout work for site geotechnical investigations. Tasks were coordinated with Airport Operations on all aspects of field survey work and ground mobilizations. Final deliverables included MWAA standardized CADD drawings.
