Weston & Sampson Welcomes Lucas Hernandez

Lucas Hernandez

Weston & Sampson is very glad to welcome Lucas Hernandez to the firm as a Climate Adaptation and Resilience Specialist in our Charleston, South Carolina office. Most recently, Lucas served as a Resilience Specialist with the Kiawah Island Community Association. He chaired the association’s Adaptive Management Plan Task Force that led to the development of Kiawah Island’s Resilience Plan. Lucas was also involved with infrastructure projects, stormwater modeling, grant research, and sustainability initiatives.  At Weston & Sampson, Lucas will continue supporting communities in their resiliency efforts and enhancing the firm’s ability to incorporate climate projections, climate adaptation strategies, and stakeholder engagement into our designs.  

Lucas completed concurrent Master’s degrees in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Public Administration from the Graduate School at the University of Charleston, and a B.S. in Environmental Technology & Management from North Carolina State University.
