AMR Fixed Network System for Reading Both Electric and Water Meters
Weston & Sampson was selected by the Chicopee Electric Light Department to assist in modernizing their electric meter reading equipment to improve customer system and aid in managing their distribution system. Weston & Sampson was already assisting the City of Chicopee's Water Department with a meter modernization program. To realize efficiency wth infrastructure improvements, the projects were combined. Weston & Sampson developed a Request for Proposals for supply of an Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) fixed network system that is capable of reading both electric and water meters. The project includes assisting the town with the evaluation of the proposals to determine the most advantageous product for both the Electric Light and Water Departments.
