Our firm provided project management, design, and construction administration services in support of a 4-inch steel, natural gas pipeline extension (approximately 68,300 feet) in Duplin County, North Carolina. This transmission extension was used to convert Guilford Mills' equipment over to natural gas.
Duties on this project included:
- Route planning and selection
- Pipeline design and materials selection
- Design of directional drills underneath various state roads
- NCDOT Encroachment Permit Package development
- Regulator and metering station design coordination with Piedmont Natural Gas
- Contractor bid package preparation
- Contractor selection and award
