East End Connector in Durham, NC

NCDOT U-0071 Durham (NC) East End ConnectorThe East End Connector project in Durham County, North Carolina was conceived to create a freeway link between major interstates in the central part of the state in an industrialized area that lacked connectivity.

The project consisted of four interchanges in just over two miles of mainline roadway and required 12 bridges including the span of a seven-track railroad switchyard with accommodations for future light rail.

As part of the NEPA process, we prepared permit drawings and applications for 2(a) concurrence meeting, prepared the public hearing maps, and participated in the meeting.
