ArcGIS Online Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Viewer/Generator

Weston & Sampson uses Esri’s ArcGIS Online platform to shorten the preliminary development of the CIP. Over half a century has passed since the tragic fire at the Berwick Hotel site in Rutland, Vermont—a site that has long awaited revitalization. As years passed, the community developed a plan to transform this space. Today, we're excited to share that Weston & Sampson, working with Center & Wales, LLC, will be providing Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) oversight services for the Berwick Block project. This transformation into a dynamic mixed-use space is supported by a $1.5 million grant from the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development's Brownfields Revitalization Fund.

What’s Coming?
• A new 99-room hotel
• 26 residential apartments
• A restaurant and rooftop bar

Our Role: We'll be overseeing environmental safety measures, including evaluating and implementing cleanup strategies. Part of our commitment also includes instituting an annual groundwater monitoring program to ensure the site remains safe and healthy for future generations.

We're committed to revitalizing spaces with careful consideration for community and environmental health. Stay tuned for updates as we help to #TransformYourEnvironment.
