Pool Filtration Upgrades

Pool Filtration Upgrades

Weston & Sampson provided filtration equipment upgrades for Department of Conservation & Recreation pools in Lowell, Lawrence, and Agawam, Massachusetts.

The work consisted of a complete gut of the pool filtration rooms, and installation of new filters, VFDs, pumps, and chemical feed systems. The ventilation and plumbing systems at each building were upgraded. New grating, railings, sump pumps, and remote monitoring capabilities were also part of the upgrades. Each site required modification of main drain and/or backwash piping outside the building.

Upgrade costs were $700,000, and work was completed in 2012/2013.
