Jim Riordan, AICP, LEED AP, Planning Team Leader at Weston & Sampson, will be moderating an upcoming webinar presented by the American Planning Association (APA) titled “What’s All This I Hear about Sustainability, Resilience, and Climate Change?” The webinar will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
The webinar will begin with a presentation on current APA initiatives, followed by a discussion of two state sustainability and resilience planning programs - one in Massachusetts and the other in Alaska. Following a Q&A session, a virtual workshop with breakouts will be held that focus on key sustainability topics. The webinar will use a SWOT-style analysis to break down available sustainability tools and where improvement is needed. Results will be made available following the conference.
Joining Jim as presenters will be Karla Ebenbach, AICP from Ebenbach Consulting LLC; Mia Mansfield from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs; and Sally Russell Cox from the Alaska Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development.
