Road Improvements and Relocation of Potable Water Facilities
Weston & Sampson was selected by the Greater Pine Island Water Association (GPIWA) to provide design-related services associated with Road improvements proposed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The improvements necessitated the GPIWA to adjust and/or relocate existing potable water facilities in conflict with the proposed SR78 (Pine Island Road) project from SW 35th Place to SW 20th Avenue (FPID:413695-1-52-01).
The project was constructed through a Joint Project Agreement (JPA) with FDOT. Construction was completed in 2014, with a final construction cost of $667,300. Weston & Sampson prepared design drawings, coordinated with FDOT, and served as the owner’s representative during the construction phase.
