On March 13, 2017, the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association presented Weston & Sampson's Paige Lux, EIT with the 2016 Young Professional of the Year Award, during the 27th annual South Carolina Environmental Conference held at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The award recognizes the contributions of young members whose service and achievements are exceptional for their years of experience. The award is given annually to one member who has demonstrated an active commitment to the organization and the profession as a whole. The award recipient is selected by the Executive Committee from among the nominations forwarded from the Young Professionals Committee.
Paige is a graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Environmental Engineering. She provides design experience for various aspects of municipal infrastructure including hydraulics, wastewater, water treatment, environmental, stormwater, and permitting. She also gave a recent presentation at the SC Environmental Conference titled “Starting Your Engineering Career Off On the Right Foot—How to Think Like an Owner Sooner."
