Emergency Response and Various On-Call Environmental Services
For more than two decades, Weston & Sampson has worked for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) on numerous projects under several task orders and project specific contracts. To date, Weston & Sampson has completed approximately 300 task order projects that have included site investigation, risk characterization, remedial evaluation and design, and construction oversight for sites throughout Massachusetts. Completed activities include:

Weston & Sampson completed projects at several MassDOT maintenance facilities contaminated with petroleum constituents; Amitrol, a chlorinated herbicide; and physiologically available cyanide. Our understanding of typical garage operations, coupled with our understanding of fueling systems and utilities, has resulted in a 20-year continuous relationship with MassDOT.
In addition, Weston & Sampson has provided the following services:
- Solid waste and landfill engineering, including recently designed cap for a dumping ground in Stockbridge
- Assessment and remediation of PCB-impacted sites under EPA’s Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) regulations
- Wetlands monitoring and restoration
- Design, permitting, and construction oversight for compliance with Underground Injection Control (UIC) regulations
- Water supply, including removal of salt from groundwater
