Gas Distribution Main Relocation

Pipeline Relocation with Construction Plans & Utility Coordination

Our firm was instrumental in the relocation of 5,900 LF of 8" high pressure steel gas distribution main at the intersection of Camp Road and Riverland Drive in James Island, South Carolina.

Relocation was necessary due to a conflict with a new SCDOT traffic circle at that intersection. Our team performed a route survey and developed construction plans. We also performed a Quality Level D SUE investigation, as well as Quality Level A test holes to ensure all utility conflicts were avoided in the design phase. Permits were acquired from SCDOT, DHEC OCRM, DHEC Stormwater, Army COE, and City of Charleston Planning & Zoning/MS4 Stormwater. A state easement was acquired from the Budget and Control Board for crossing a tidal stream.
