Intersection at Lahaye Drive and Mount Support Road Improvements

Award Winning Hybrid Two Lane Roundabout Design

The City of Lebanon commissioned Weston & Sampson to design a hybrid two-lane roundabout to replace the existing signalized intersection, with the goal of enhancing safety and improving traffic flow.

Traffic data was collected and analyzed to compare the two alternatives: an upgraded traffic signal with additional lanes and a modern roundabout.  The roundabout was selected because it provided improved operations and is a much better safety enhancement. In addition, the project included the design of a new section of shared use path to provide enhanced connectivity to a major regional hospital.

The project was awarded an ACEC-NH Engineering Excellence Award in 2026.
