Transmission Pipeline Installation

Weston & Sampson was selected to upgrade the Wilson Tap in Wilson, North Carolina, a transmission pipeline interconnect station where six different transmission pipelines intersect.

Equipment upgrades were required to ensure adequate supply of gas to customer facilities. Our team provided a redesign and replacement of the existing interconnect valve station, as well as launchers and receivers on lines 13L, 13, 6, 6L, and 12. The launchers and receivers will be used for future in-line inspection. The final design was located above grade, and was designed to handle future demand and maintain operational reliability.
