Bonita Springs Facility Condition Assessment Study
Municipal Facility Assessment with Existing Conditions Documentation
Weston & Sampson, with its team of local engineers and architects, conducted a condition assessment study of 18 buildings across six sites in Bonita Springs, Florida.
The assessment included architectural, structural, building envelope, electrical, HVAC, plumbing components, parking lots, utilities, drainage system, climate risk, and material sampling and testing considerations. Our team observed and documented the existing conditions through multiple site visits and identified deficiencies in need of correction. For each building and surrounding site, we compiled, assessed, and evaluated the information (deficiency data) to determine recommendations for repair or replacement along with the associated preliminary cost estimate. We classified each deficiency according to three priority levels, with a corresponding schedule, according to its urgency to be repaired or otherwise corrected. We also assigned each deficiency one or more of the following categories that represented the cause or reason for the deficiency: Life-Safety, Building Code Compliance, ADA Compliance, Building Integrity, Functionality, Appearance, Energy, and Resiliency.
