Brownfields Redevelopment
Multi-Site Brownfields Remediation with Resilient Landscape Design
Weston & Sampson is working with the City of Claremont, New Hampshire to develop an existing under-utilized Brownfields site into a new open space amenity for residents and visitors to enjoy.
The goals of the master plan include improving access to the Sugar River and its stunning views, creating new flexible open space for large city events and public gathering, adding a multi-use trail system with ADA-compliant pedestrian access connecting the entire site from east to west, and incorporating play spaces and educational opportunities for children. Project efforts have included a robust public engagement program to develop the initial concepts; feedback obtained from the Weston & Sampson-led events were critical in the development of the site master plan.
