Consulting for ARPA Funds
Helping South Kingstown strategically manage and invest ARPA funds through project development, grant management, and public engagement.
Weston & Sampson provided specialized project development, design, and grant management services to help the Town of South Kingstown manage and maximize its use of $8.95 million from the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund, established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
We provided project management oversight, ensuring accountability, transparency, and compliance with federal requirements in the allocation and disbursement of funds to support economic recovery.
Our team created a matrix outlining applicable legislation, regulation, policies, and other relevant information and a recovery portfolio containing multiple funding stream opportunities and the requirements for each. We worked with the town to determine which funding sources were best suited to particular projects and develop a strategy based on availability of funds and funding parameters.
We helped the town determine specific projects, scopes of work, conceptual plans, associated budgets, and implementation strategies for the four village areas targeted for revitalization. We also provided extensive communication and public engagement services, including creating presentations and communications materials for community stakeholders and the public.
