Curtis Apartments Redevelopment
500+ Units & 600+ Parking Spaces in Multi-Phase Redevelopment
Weston & Sampson is providing consulting services for the redevelopment of an existing Worcester Housing Authority residential neighborhood (Curtis Apartments) in Worcester, Massachusetts.
The project proposes to demolish the existing 500+-unit residential buildings and construct new buildings in four phases that will carefully consider temporary displacement of residents, infrastructure improvements, continued service to existing residences, traffic mitigation, and potential hazardous material disposal. As a subconsultant to Trinity Financial, we are providing civil engineering, landscape architecture, traffic engineering, and permitting services to assist with the project through design, permitting, and construction. Located in a densely settled residential neighborhood, the design and phasing of the redevelopment needs to comply with multiple stakeholder interests and site restrictions.
