St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children
122-Unit Affordable Housing with Civil-Site Design & Permitting
Weston & Sampson is developing a master plan for the St. Mary’s Center for Women and Children campus in Boston, Massachusetts.
For the proposed new residential building and parking garage, our team is providing design services for the campus-wide exterior improvements. Project efforts include regular meetings with St. Mary’s staff to develop goals for the planned new public open spaces. Access for all residents is paramount to the success of this master plan, and the project team is working to ensure all site improvements and new amenities meet or exceed ADA accessibility requirements. New amenities include a half basketball court with amphitheater seating, community garden planters, flexible seating/gathering areas, a children’s playground, new plantings, and building entry plazas. Efforts also include regular meetings with state agencies, as needed; these meetings and this level of careful coordination will be integral to the success of this project.
