Environmental Consulting Services

Weston & Sampson has been providing on-call environmental consulting services to the Town of Middletown, Rhode Island since 2013.

This on-call contract includes conducting annual site inspections at two town-owned properties to assess current site use(s) and activities and to evaluate compliance with the terms and restrictions of the Environmental Land Usage Restrictions (ELURs); peer review for a proposed residential storage facility to assess project’s compliance/adherence to the RIDEM’s Rules and Regulations for the Investigation and Remediation of Hazardous Material Releases (Remediation Regulations); an evaluation of remedial alternatives for the Town Center in the Valley Site in accordance with RIDEM’s Guidelines for the Management of Historically Agricultural Properties for Future Use as Open Space and/or Recreational Land “Historical Agricultural Use Policy;” and the development of a Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP) on behalf of the town for submittal to RIDEM for the Town Center in the Valley Site.
