Former Medfield State Hospital

Award-Winning Multi-Site Remediation with Complex Wetland and Waterway Permitting

Weston & Sampson was selected by the Massachusetts Department of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) to comprehensively manage Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) response actions for eight open Release Tracking Numbers (RTN) at the former Medfield State Hospital located in Medfield, Massachusetts.

One of these sites, known as the C&D area, was located adjacent to the Charles River. In order to complete the remediation of the site, the project had to undergo a full environmental permitting review. In addition to delineating the site for Land under Water, Bank and Bordering Vegetated Wetland, our team successfully permitted through several environmental resource permitting processes.
