Hollowbrook Dam

High Hazard Dam Rehabilitation with H&H & Structural Design

Weston & Sampson helped the City of Peekskill address deficiencies of the Hollowbrook Dam, including increasing spillway capacity, structural modifications, and upgrades to existing valving and piping.

The concrete dam serves as an impoundment of the Hollowbrook Creek, which provides the raw water supply for the City of Peekskill. Our team investigated the current condition of the dam, performed a topographic survey, conducted a full hydraulic and hydrologic evaluation, performed an Ideal Design Flood (IDF) study, prepared design and construction documents that addressed the deficiencies, provided permitting support, and performed bidding and construction phase services.
