Redevelopment of Bartlett Yard

Weston & Sampson was selected by Nuestra Comunidad Community Development Corporation to provide owner’s representative and management services for the redevelopment of the former Bartlett Yard Bus Garage, located in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.

Our team assisted the client in obtaining cleanup funding through EPA. We completed an evaluation of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives and presented the cleanup of the project to the local neighborhood. We provided comprehensive planning, design, and management services, including LSP, remediation, and demolition design. We also prepared design documents, assisted in contractor selection and procurement, and provided construction administration and oversight. Our team provided soil management services, including on-site reuse and off-site disposal, and coordinated with the site development team so that remediation was concentrated in those areas that will have higher exposure to future site users. In addition, we are incorporating sustainable practices to reduce the carbon footprint of the design and limit impacts to the neighborhood.
