Remediation Activities

Weston & Sampson was selected by Dimeo Construction Company (Dimeo) to perform environmental services associated with a leaking underground storage tank (UST) located in Providence, Rhode Island.

Services included UST excavation oversight, confirmatory soil sampling and analysis, soil management and disposal coordination services, and closure report preparation in accordance with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM) Rule and Regulations for Underground Storage Facilities Used for Petroleum Products and Hazardous Materials, revised April 2011 (UST Regulations). Following the completion of remedial activities, and based upon the location of the property, distance from sensitive receptors, and nature and extent of the limited residual impacts remaining at the site, RIDEM determined that no additional remedial or monitoring activities or actions were required at the property related to the petroleum release and a conditional no further action (NFA) agreement was issued.
