2000 Crown Colony

Indoor/Outdoor Amenity Planning with Resilient Landscape Design

Weston & Sampson provided conceptual design services to create an amenity terrace and gathering spaces for the existing office building at 2000 Crown Colony Drive in Quincy, Massachusetts for The Flatley Company.

The upper terrace can be directly accessed from the newly renovated cafeteria and provides ADA connections to the lower-level gathering spaces. The terrace includes a fire pit, banquette seating, and planting to create a welcoming community space. The pedestrian zones were increased by replacing an existing driveway with an open lawn and specialty paved plaza with trees and seating. Finally, the main building entrance was redesigned to include a new grand staircase with amphitheater seating, an ADA-accessible walk, and new plantings to emphasize the front entry.
