Harrah’s Valley River Casino

Weston & Sampson, working as a subconsultant to JCJ Architecture, designed an indoor resort-style pool within the hotel’s amenity area and indoor men’s and women’s hot tubs within the spa area at the Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.

The concrete pool and spas feature fully automated systems with high-rate sand filtration and liquid chlorine treatment to ensure consistent water quality and efficient operation. All aquatic systems were designed in compliance with applicable state and local codes, and were coordinated with the local health department through permitting and review.

Throughout the design and construction process Weston & Sampson worked closely with the entire design team to ensure coordination across building systems. Special consideration was given to air quality control, with integrated strategies given to manage chloramine byproducts. Materials and equipment were carefully selected to withstand demanding chlorinated environment, supporting both occupant comfort and the longevity of the facility.
