Kensington Condominium Rooftop Pool

Weston & Sampson’s Aquatics Group worked closely with The Architectural Team, Inc. for the design of a rooftop pool on a residential tower in downtown Boston.

Our team developed a stainless steel pool with a tile finish due to its ability to withstand the constant movement that occurs on high-rise buildings. This approach enabled remote fabrication and craning onto the site, where final plumbing and electrical connections were made. A remote equipment room allows for maximum usable space on the deck. Since the pool was placed on the rooftop, a raised deck system was developed around the pool along with a pergola and seating areas. A ramp and portable lift enables residents and guests with disabilities to enjoy the pool. Weston & Sampson’s CMR division installed the pool and pool equipment.
