NEHD Danvers – The Waterhouse
116-Unit Senior Housing on 16-Acre Parcel with Full Site Design
Weston & Sampson is providing consulting services for the redevelopment of a 16.1-acre parcel in Danvers, Massachusetts, owned by New England Homes for the Deaf (NEHD), into a 116-unit multi-family senior housing development.
Working with WinnCompanies, we are providing civil engineering, traffic, geotechnical, and permitting services to assist with the project through design, permitting, and construction. Our team also provided all local, state, and federal permitting. The development consists of one three-story slab-on-grade residential building containing 116 hearing impaired units, an amenity space, sky lounge, and office space, as well as 132 on-site at-grade parking spaces. The facility aims to support NEHD’s mission to provide long-term healthcare, housing, recreational activities, and social support for Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing individuals in an accessible, barrier-free, and culturally sensitive environment with optimal communication and architectural resources.
