New Public Works Facility

Weston & Sampson prepared a feasibility study and site selection analysis for a new DPW facility for the Town of Yarmouth, Massachusetts.

Work included preparing a space needs assessment for the DPW operations and a comprehensive evaluation to determine the viability of the existing site for the new facility. Following site selection, we assisted the town with obtaining funding approval and provided permitting support, final design plans and specifications, bidding services, construction administration, and oversight services through construction and project close-out. The new 39,000-SF facility features office/office support space, employee facilities (locker/shower/toilet/break/training), trade shops, vehicle maintenance, vehicle wash, and vehicle/equipment storage areas. It also incorporates sustainable design elements, including natural daylighting, heat recovery, smart lighting controls, and a solar-ready roof.
