Central Oconee County Sewer Basin Plan

Weston & Sampson previously provided engineering and planning services for the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority (OJRSA) Fair Play Area Sewer Basin Plan and was selected to expand the study to include a significant portion of the central part of Oconee County.

The study included the review of land use maps for future development potential, the review of existing sewer infrastructure for capacity, variations in flow, and operational needs. Our team met with various stakeholders to gain insight on potential development within the region and identified basins within the study area that would likely develop within the 20-year study window. The plan was comprehensive and included sewer flow projections, needed upgrades to existing infrastructure, capital costs estimates, evaluation of new treatment plants, customer growth estimates, hydraulic modeling, and final recommendations presented to OJRSA with outlined capital improvement projects, schedules, and opinions of total project cost.
