Colby College New Pool & Therapy Spa Facilities

Weston & Sampson was selected to build a new swimming pool and therapy spa facilities at the new Athletic Complex at Colby College.

This facility, designed by Sasaki and Counsilman-Hunsaker, will feature the very first 50-meter pool in the state of Maine. Weston & Sampson was responsible for the pool vessel, all piping, as well as the complete chemical and filtration equipment associated with the pool. We installed a 10-lane, 850,000-gallon pool with two moveable bulkheads. The 13,000-SF pool was filtered with two regenerative media filters at a rate of 2,400 gallons per minute. The project also included the design and construction of three warm/cool therapy spas.
