On-Call MEP Services

Multi-Year MEP Support for Code Compliance & Emergency Projects

As part of an ongoing on-call MEP contract, Weston & Sampson has helped the University of Connecticut correct several code-related deficiencies.

At the North Campus Dining Hall, we provided electrical engineering and design to correct deficiencies related to emergency exit lighting. Our design included new self-contained emergency battery units installed throughout the facility to maintain code-required, minimum foot-candle levels and time durations, as well as exterior exit and emergency lighting. We also provided design of corrective measures for wiring device installation and wiring code violations throughout the Lebanon Cottage building. This design also included structural and civil repairs to building exits to correct non-ADA compliant grading and tripping hazards.
