Rockport Public Works Facility
DPW Facility Programming with Energy Efficiency & MEP Coordination
Weston & Sampson was selected to provide comprehensive planning and design services for a new DPW facility for the Town of Rockport, Massachusetts.
Our team worked closely with the DPW and the Building Committee to control costs and evaluate and implement a host of sustainability measures to provide long-term benefits. The new facility features highly efficient, hybrid electric and gas MEP systems. The administration wing is heated and cooled by a high-efficiency VRF system with winter heating efficiencies approaching 300-400%, while the industrial side of the DPW is heated by a high-efficiency, gas-fired, condensing boiler plant that is approximately 95% efficient. Ventilation is provided by a DOAS with integrated heat recovery and pretreated by a high-efficiency heat pump.
