WWTF & Collection System Evaluation & Design

Full-Scale WWTF & Sewer Collection System Redesign

Weston & Sampson partnered with the Town of Jamestown, Rhode Island, for a full-scale evaluation of their wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) and collection system.

Our team conducted multiple site visits to visually inspect and document all existing major assets at the facility and pump stations throughout the collection system. This included a full asset inventory and condition assessment, documenting the year installed, useful life, and projected year of replacement. These assets were then grouped into priority categories, which provided insight for the project scope of the design projects that ensued. For the collection system, we conducted televising efforts of certain areas of the town known to have excess flow issues. We generated a report that outlines annual inspection efforts and proposed replacement or upgrade recommendations throughout the system. We are currently conducting a multi-disciplinary design for the facility and pump station upgrades suggested based on evaluation findings.
