WWTF Improvements, Pump Station, & Sewer Replacement

Wastewater Facility & Sewer Infrastructure Overhaul

Weston & Sampson was selected to provide engineering services for the preliminary design of the Bethel Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Improvements, Mill Hill Pump Station Improvements, and Mayville Road Route 2 Sewer Replacement in Bethel, Maine.

Our team performed a site survey of the Mill Hill Pump Station site and Mayville Road Sewer Replacement area to develop preliminary design drawings. We performed a geotechnical investigation to explore subsurface conditions and provided project specific subsurface information. A geotechnical analysis and report outlining our findings was also included. We performed preliminary design/layout of the proposed pump station and Route 2 Sewer Replacement. We recommended process improvements for the WWTF upgrades including clarifier replacement; oxidation ditch improvements; chlorine contact & disinfection improvements; VFD & pump replacements; screenings & grit removal improvements; and waste sludge blower replacement. The project is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development (USDA-RD).
