YMCA Building MEP Improvements

Weston & Sampson provided complete MEP/FP and aquatics design services for a brand new 68,000-SF YMCA in Lynn, Massachusetts.

The new facility features an 8,700-SF, 2-story natatorium with lap and teaching pools and a splash pad, an elevated track, a gymnasium, several exercise studios, weight and cardio equipment spaces, sauna and steam rooms, a preschool area, café, teaching kitchen, and office, locker, toilet, and conference rooms. As a subconsultant to Maugel Architects, our engineers integrated the MEP/FP systems into the building’s unique architecture. The high-efficiency, gas-fired condensing boiler plant provides heat to the building and integrates into the pool’s water heating system. Tel-data has been provided throughout the building with individual ethernet connections to each piece of cardio equipment.
